Join us for a lively, rapid fire series of presentations (20 slides x 20 seconds) on "Design Local" from the perspectives of interior, exhibit, and graphic designers, architects, videographers, and animators.

Film: Design Disruptors

This film focuses on the role designers and design is playing in an ever changing world. Ben Blumenfeld, Co-Founder of Designer fund puts it this way "The biggest challenge designers are facing right now is that they are designing alot of things that are new, that have never been done before in organizations that are evolving and changing for audiences that are evolving and changing". Come hear Jon Meada, Alex Castellarnau, Julie Zhou, and others address how design is the connector between complexity and meaning.

A design challenge with a twist! Product Runway puts teams of design professionals from multiple disciplines in a fashion design competition to design and create a garment or accessory out of standard architectural finish materials.

Designer Lunch Series
Creating a Vision & Seeing it Through

Sonia Greteman, creative director of Greteman Group will give an inside look at the hurdles and challenges involved in developing the vision for River Corridor Keeper Plaza, and Wichita Eisenhower Airport projects. She will discuss how graphic design and branding helped shape the projects and how much fun you can have working on an integrated team.
